The Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition was established in 1973, at the initiative of Jan Jacob Bistritzky, a close friend of Arthur Rubinstein, who was honored to give his name to the Competition. Established to promote the careers of outstanding young pianists, the Rubinstein Competition also commissions works by Israeli composers. Cancelled due to the Covid pandemic, the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society is pleased to announce that the 16th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition has now been rescheduled from 1 April to 3 May 2021.
