Mark Bebbington excels in Poulenc on Resonus

"Bebbington captures the mood perfectly, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on sparkling form" - The Guardian

Acclaimed pianist Mark Bebbington celebrates the start of a French music series, and his Resonus Classics debut, with a major new recording of works by Francis Poulenc. Expertly accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Jan Latham-Koenig, Mark is on sparkling form in Poulenc's Piano Concerto and Concert champêtre. The recording is rounded off by the composer's characteristically effervescent Trio for Piano, Oboe and Bassoon and Sonata for Oboe and Piano, where Mark is joined by oboist John Roberts and bassoonist Jonathan Davies; all three combine to give brilliant performances of Poulenc's quicksilver works.
