Nimrod Borenstein is much in demand these days. 2016 saw many world- and regional-premieres, and several recordings are also in the can. Most prominent of these was Vladimir Ashkenazy's complete album of Borenstein's music for Chandos Records. Ashkenazy, long a champion of the composer's work, made the recording in December with the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and violinist Irmina Trynkos (a regular interpreter of Borenstein's music), at Henry Wood Hall in London. The CD was released by Chandos in Autumn 2017 and garnered significant critical acclaim.
